Breitenbush Hot Springs is located in the Cascade Mountains near Detroit, Oregon about 60 miles east of Salem.
Please note: There is no public transportation available to Breitenbush. You will need to drive your personal vehicle, carpool, or rent a car.
The simplest route for those driving from North or South is to take I-5 to Salem. Take exit 253 from Salem and head east toward Stayton/Detroit on Hwy 22. After crossing the Detroit Bridge, turn left onto Hwy 46 at the only gas station in Detroit and head north. Drive 10 miles, just past Cleator Bend Campground, take a right onto the single lane bridge crossing the Breitenbush River. The road is gravel after the bridge and has three forks in its 1 1/2 mile course. Take a left at every fork and you will end up in the parking lot. Plan about an hour and a half travel time from Salem.
For those interested in the Scenic Route from the North, consider driving through the beautiful forests along Hwy 224 and 46 originating from SE Portland/Clackamas, Oregon.

Ride ShareMany of our attendees carpool to and from the Gathering. In addition to using Breitenbush's own ride-share board, you may use the forms to the right to request or offer a ride specifically from fellow Reiki Gathering attendees. (We cannot guarantee a carpool match... but it's amazing how often it works out!)

Traveling by PlanePortland International Airport (PDX) is the nearest large airport.
Arrival Times Whether you decide to rent a car yourself or share a ride with a fellow participant, please plan your flight to arrive at PDX by 1:00 pm at the latest, in order to arrive at Breitenbush on time for the beginning of the Gathering. Departure Times Please plan your return flight to depart no earlier than 6:00 pm, to allow for time to get to the airport after the conclusion of the Gathering. |
Traveling by TrainAmtrak provides rail service to Salem, Oregon via the Coast Starlight and Pacific Cascades trains.
